Enrique Filippini
Enrique Filippini, of Buenos Aires, Argentina, began in dogs 30 years ago as a breeder-exhibitor of Boxers, Miniature Pinschers, Borzoi, and Italian Greyhounds, and later added Shih Tzu, Afghan Hounds, English Cocker Spaniels, Doberman Pinschers, Chihuahuas (both varieties), Fox Terriers (Smooth and Wire), Salukis, Maltese, Chow Chows, Yorkshire Terriers, Chinese Shar-Pei, and others.
He has had a great success in South America and Europe, and his kennel has yielded many champions and BIS dogs of various breeds. With several of his "Alba's Imperial" Shih Tzu, he won "Best Dog of the Year All Breeds," and was "Best Breeder" and "Best Exhibitor" of all breeds in 1979, 1980, 1984, and 1989, becoming the first breeder to obtain those honors four times in his country.
He began judging toy breeds in 1984 and became an all-breed judge in 1988. He is eligible to judge all breeds, all groups, and Best in Show by the Federación Cinológica Argentina and the Fédération Cynologique Internationale. He is AKC-eligible to judge all groups and Best in Show.
His international assignments have taken him all around the world. He has judged multiple times at the World Dog Show, and at American and Caribbean championship shows.
Upcoming assignments will take him to Australia, Brazil, Canada, Venezuela, Colombia, Italy, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, the United States, Uruguay, and Mexico for the 2007 World Dog Show.
